Who are We?

Building capacity for economic development

It is an exciting time in Eagle Lake First Nation. The Eagle Lake Development was recently launched and is now the driving force responsible for supporting economic development projects in the community. This includes assisting new and present businesses, identifying potential investment opportunities and engaging with interested partners and organizations.

In the fall of 2012 we began the process of identifying a new entrepreneurial approach aimed at providing economic development opportunities for our community. To facilitate this we developed a series of initiatives and partnered with Running Deer Resources to construct a comprehensive market study and market plan, a broad based asset inventory and our Community Resource Information System (CRIS). CRIS is the show piece of all our efforts and was specifically created to assist in securing employment opportunities for our members.

Sustainable development is vital to the integrity of Eagle Lake First Nation.
